  • Pro skater, 27, is sentenced to four years for DUI crash which killed his 45-year-old photographer friend

    A famous skateboarder from Washington has been sentenced to four years in prison on Friday for a DUI crash that led to one of his friends getting killed and another hurt. 

    Cory Kennedy, 27, had been driving in Vashon Island on August 30, 2017, when he rammed into two trees, killing 45-year-old Preston 'p-Stone' Maigetter. He had been found to have consumed marijuana and had a .11BAC level, Q13 reports.

    'Losing Preston couldn't have weighed heavier on my heart. He was a very close friend and a one-of-a-kind individual that I truly loved,' Kennedy said, according to KIRO-7. 'This will forever be the biggest mistake of my life,'

    Kennedy was charged with vehicular homicide and vehicle assault and will be under 'home monit
